Friendships are really special because they differ from the relationships you have with your family members or colleagues.
You can’t choose who will be your family member or with whom you’ll spend time at work but you can choose whom you’ll call a best friend or a close friend.
Our close friends are usually a combination of a family member and a friend in one.
We have best friends who are always there for us no matter what and with whom we have a history of adventures and tons of great times.
They have seen us cry, laugh, and in any other possible condition. They know all our triggers, preferences and habits and they never judge us.
They have been completely honest and genuine from the first time you met them till today, which is one of the most valuable traits nowadays.
Then we have close friends with whom we occasionally go for a walk, to a concert, drink coffee, talk about random things and share mutual interests.
We also have old friends with whom we are no longer in contact because we outgrew them. After all, they’re living in a different city or so on.
However, what connects them all is that they all leave a mark on our personality and enrich us as human beings.
Friendships are like real-life flowers. If you don’t water them, they will not be able to flourish and that’s why it’s important to always let them know how much they mean to you.
